Job Opportunity for High School or Post Secondary Student

Battle River School Division is seeking applications for the following:

Position: two high school students and one post secondary student to provide reading support for BRSD’s Summer Reading University Program. This is a part-time position focusing on providing reading support for grade 2-4 students under the direction of a teacher. Application deadline is Monday, June 10th, 2024. Location: Chester Ronning, Camrose, Alberta (3 positions available)

Description: 

Start date - July 3rd, 2024

End date - July 31st, 2024

Monday through Friday (9 AM - 3 PM)

$15.00 per hour

The ideal candidate will:

• Passionate about teaching young readers: Inspire and nurture a love for reading in young students.

• Team-orientation collaborator: Work seamless with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills: Build strong, positive relationships with children.

• Safety-certified: Have completed the HCS 3000 safety course, ensuring a safe learning space.

• Eager to gain experience: Show a willingness to engage in enriching Work Experience programs.

Successful candidates will be required to submit within thirty (30) days of hire:

1. Criminal Records Check including the Vulnerable Sector (City Police or RCMP).

2. Intervention Record Check (Child and Family Services).
